On March 15th and 16th, 2008, Guernsey's Auction House will be auctioning off Anthony Pugliese's pop culture collection at The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It's expected that the auction will net more than $5 million.

The CRTC has a new plan to define what an "emerging artist" is and what can be defined as a "hit" in order to increase the amount of new Canadian music played on the radio. Presently, the CRTC requires radio stations to play at least 35% Canadian music, but there are no specific requirements for how much of that music has to be from new, emerging artists. Radio stations are loosely complying by playing only established, recognizable Canadian music which, most of the time, is 15+ years old...

Michelle and I rented a car last weekend with the intention to take Lorenzo & Daisy (our dogs) to their vet appointment on Friday. It turned out that Daisy isn't due for her shots until next month and Lorenzo not until July 2009 so we had to reschedule. We didn't want a perfectly good car rental (and weekend) to go to waste, so we decided to take a spontaneous road trip.

Toronto, Ottawa and now Montreal have signed up for Earth Hour 2008. (There are already numerous Earth Hour groups on Facebook...) But somehow I get the feeling that Calgary will never sign up. Why is that?
